Who wants to have fun on Saturday night — and raise some money for the Cunniff School at the same time?

The eighth annual Comedy Night and Silent Auction fund-raiser will be held Saturday, April 11. The event is from 7-11 p.m. and will be at American Legion Post 440 on California Street in Newton. Comedy Night for adults only.

Donna Driscoll, who is a parent who volunteers for the Cunniff School PTO, explained what the money will be used for.

“We have a fund-raiser to raise money for the PTO, and the PTO uses the money to get fun things for the students at the Cunniff School,” she said.

Local comedians Mike Hanley, Marty Caproni, and Kristine Blinn will perform.

There will be a silent auction at the Post 440, but people can also bid on more than 100 items right now by going online to the Cunniff’s auction website at http://www.32auctions.com/cunniff8

There will also be door prizes and raffles. Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door.
