The Cunniff’s first International Fair will be on June 8, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. Anyone can come and enjoy this fun and free event!

The International Fair will be held at Cunniff Elementary School at 246 Warren St. in Watertown, Mass. The first part of the fair will be held in the gym and the second part will be in the cafeteria.

Cunniff was the only school in the district with no International Fair until this year.

Helda Shirinian, an ESL teacher, said she had this idea in the beginning of the year and things added onto it throughout the year. She said when the idea came out, everyone was excited.

Everyone pitched in to help out. Cunniff families will host country tables in the gym and they will have food, jewelry, games, and pictures of the country.

“Hopefully we are going to learn about each other’s cultures,” Ms. Shirinian said.

Nihal, a second-grade student, is hosting a Turkey table with her mom and friends. There are going to be Turkish games and they will be serving tea.

People can come and go when they want. But remember that if you are a kid who wants to go, you cannot leave the building without having an authorized adult pick you up.

If you want to “travel around the world” in a short amount of time, then head on over for the one night of many different cultures in one big area.
